5 Book Blogs You Should Check Out! (Part One of Many)

Hi, friends!! I was talking about this a while ago in my 6 month blogiversary post, but one of my favorite things about blogging is reading others posts and interacting with them. This post will be coming out at the same time that the blogger awards are happening, so I thought I should explain why this isn’t just a nominations post. For one, awards things like this just make me feel kind of uncomfy? Like, I can’t explain it but it just makes me very uncomfy. Also, I am scared I will forget a blog I LOVE and then not be able to change it, while if I happen to do that with this, I can just add them to the next round of this. Basically, I get unnecessarily stressed out at the thought of awards so I would rather just rave about the blogs I love whenever I want than to do so with semi-restrictive categories.

Here are, in no particular order, five book bloggers I adore and would love for you to check out. Please note, these are so not all of the book bloggers I love. If I tried to put them all in one post it would be about 5,000 words long so I have decided to break these up into fives. My plan right now is to post one a month, that way I get to rave about 5 book bloggers I love every month! I am so excited for this series, y’all have no idea.

Caitlin @ Caitlin Althea

Ahh, Caitlin!! I feel like I have typed that phrase so many times and I never stop meaning it with all the enthusiasm behind it I can muster. I have been following Caitlin for what feels like forever, but must just be a few months. Throughout that time, I have just fallen more and more in love with her blog. Caitlin is so nice, funny, and generally amazing I cannot begin to describe it. I love all of her posts, like all of them. Her reviews are so thoughtful and amazing and they leave me knowing whether I would be interested in the book or not, which is a feat for my indecisive brain.

I started following Caitlin after she left a super nice and supportive comment on one of my posts, which is something she is super super good at. I feel like most of the posts I read she has commented on which amazes me as someone who struggles to figure out what to say because I feel incapable of articulating my feelings.

If you like enthusiastic, kind, and engaged book bloggers, you need to check out Caitlin.

Brittany @ Brittany the Book GuruΒ Β

bbg

I honestly do not know how or where to start when it comes to talking about Brittany. Like, how am I supposed to talk about one of the kindest, most thoughtful people I have ever had the pleasure of encountering (even if it is only through the internet)? Nonetheless, I will attempt to start. Brittany and her blog are both amazing. She is on break right now, but she posts all sorts of memes and tags and so. many. amazing book reviews! Like, she reviews almost every book she reads. How? Like, literally how? That continues to blow my mind and honestly Brittany, I will always remain in awe over that.

On top of posting great content so often, she is also super engaged and so so so nice. She always responds to comments (I can’t count the times we’ve replied back and forth to each other five or six times in one thread), she is amazing at blog hopping and leaving the nicest, detailed and supportive contents. Brittany is also just so supportive in general, she has made it really clear that she is always there if I need her and I just can’t describe how much our friendship means to me.

Believe it or not, I could continue gushing about Brittany some more but my feelings are basically just heart emojis so I will stop. But seriously, go follow Brittany if you aren’t already. You won’t regret it.

Mari @ Musings of a Book Girl

moabg

Mari posts so often, like almost everyday if not everyday. She does so many memes, tags, and book reviews along with other original and creative content it blows my mind. Also, she likes Taylor Swift and Dodie so those get loads of points in my book.

I stumbled across Mari’s blog on twitter one day and spent an entire evening reading over all of the posts she had up at that point. Let me tell you something, I was totally engaged the whole time by her nice personality and just the way she writes things? Like this may be a weird thing to notice and comment on but I just love the way she writes her posts. Mari also includes pictures of her adorable son in some of her posts, so that is enough of a reason for you to check her out, I think.

Sam @ Some Books and Ramblings

Sam is one of the first people I think of when I see people asking for blogger recommendations. She posts so many amazing book reviews (really, how do you guys write so many good book reviews?) and tags! I once tagged her in something and she posted her version of it like four or five hours later and I sat there in awe and also going ? because I can never be that productive that fast.

If you are interested in reading book reviews or any other fun posts from a nice, funny, and entertaining book blogger than look no further than this blog. If you have a bookstagram, she is also on there under the same name and her posts on there are also super fun! I don’t have a bookstagram myself so I follow on my personal account and her posts are always really nice to see on my page!

Xandra @ Starry Sky Books

ssb

I don’t remember how I happened to stumble upon Xandra’s blog but I am really grateful that it happened. Xandra’s posts are always so entertaining. I get excited when I see a new one on my feed because I know I will enjoy it. Her amazing use of gifs and her even more amazing blogging persona leave me in awe.

Xandra is also like, the queen of discussion posts. As someone who has never written a discussion post (unless my random personal 2 am ramblings count?), I am always blown away when I read hers. She brings up so many great and interesting points and always comes across as completely honest with her audience, I love it so much. Xandra is also super engaged, always replying to comments and even hosting some 24 hour readathons! If you have a few minutes, I would highly recommend spending them checking out some of Xandra’s recent posts. I do not doubt that you will be entertained.

These are just five of the many, many bloggers I adore. I will be back at the beginning of next month with five more. But until then, how about you guys? Do you follow any of these guys and love them as much as I do? Who are your favorite bloggers? Please link them below, I am always looking for more blogs to follow!
